Attending Scott Community College? Here's an opportunity to cut your tuition bill. The SCC Foundation awards more than 100 scholarships each year. Some are awarded for academic achievement, and others on factors such as financial need, community involvement, leadership, and area of study.  

Applications are rated by a committee of SCC faculty, staff, and the Foundation Board of Directors, and scholarships are awarded twice a year. 

How to apply for scholarships

You can submit applications for the Spring 2024 semester starting Aug. 7.

  1. Go to the application website.
  2. Click on the Sign In button in the top right corner and use your EICConnect username and password.
  3. If this is your first time signing in, you will be asked to fill out a General Application.
  4. Once you have submitted your General Application, the website system will automatically match you with any and all scholarships you are eligible for using the information you provided.
  5. Next, the system will guide you to view additional scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for. Click on the scholarship name to view the qualifications. If there are any that you are eligible for, click “Apply” and answer the supplemental questions.
  6. The last step is to submit your references. You can also view the status of the references you requested under the “References” tab in the red bar at the top of the screen.

    References are due from the reference provider by the application deadline: March 1 for Fall semester and Nov. 1 for Spring semester. Any references received after the deadline will not be considered and may cause your application to be incomplete.

  1. If you are a new student to Scott Community College, first complete an Application for Admission.
  2. Once you've done so, send an email to helpdesk@eicc.edu and request a Username and Password. Include in the Subject "Scholarship Username & Password." Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.
  3. Follow the instructions in the response email to set your password for EICConnect.
  4. Once you have your Username and Password go to the application website.
  5. Click on the Sign In button in the top right corner and use your EICConnect username and password.
  6. If this is your first time signing in, you will be asked to fill out a General Application.
  7. Once you have submitted your General Application, the website system will automatically match you with any and all scholarships you are eligible for using the information you provided.
  8. Next, the system will guide you to view additional scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for. Click on the scholarship name to view the qualifications. If there are any that you are eligible for, click “Apply” and answer the supplemental questions.
  9. The last step is to submit your references. You can also view the status of the references you requested under the “References” tab in the red bar at the top of the screen.

Notification

If you were selected for a scholarship or not, we'll notify you. Watch your EICC email. We typically notify all students about 20-25 business days after the application deadline. You can also check for notifications on your application profile.
