Giving
The SCC Foundation has two giving networks - PAVERS and WGN - both of which provide donors opportunities to make a real impact, be recognized, collaborate, and make connections.
PAVERS Giving Network
EICC’s dedicated faculty and staff have paved the way for so many. PAVERS was established in 2016 to honor these retirees and former employees. Our goal is to grow the network to 50 members, each donating $100 a year for five consecutive years. With the funds, we will award a $1,000 scholarship each year for the first five and create a $20,000 endowment to fund the scholarship forever.
PAVERS members come together throughout the year to socialize and remain connected with the college.

Women's Giving Network
WGN was launched in 2012 by a group of empowered women who wanted to make a lasting
impact. They have and continue to do so.
The goal was to grow the network to 50 members, each donating $100 a year for five consecutive years. By the fifth year, WGN wanted to award five $1,000 scholarships annually to non-traditional women who returned to SCC to complete their education, as well as create a $20,000 endowment. WGN was able to achieve that goal a year early, thanks to quick interest from the community and a generous $5,000 grant from Junior League of the Quad Cities.
The network decided to raise funds for a second scholarship that would be awarded to a female student currently studying at SCC. With an amazing show of support from current members and a growing number of new members, the network again met its goal.
Today WGN is raising funds for a third scholarship, this one to be awarded to a woman enrolled in a skilled technical training program.
Each year, WGN hosts two events: a fall social for members and their guests and in the spring, a member-exclusive event where they get to meet the scholarship recipients.
Join Women's Giving Network today and you, too, can help end period poverty.
In 2023 the Women’s Giving Network took on the challenge to end period poverty at Scott Community College. They learned one of every four menstruating students lacks access to sanitary products. This issue affects people around the world and right here at SCC.
- $75 – $125 is the cost per year for disposable period products per person.
- 1 in 4 female students has reported they skipped class because they did not have a pad/tampon when needed.
- 86% of people have unexpectedly started their period in public.
- Poor menstrual hygiene is the leading cause for future reproductive complications in women.
Members of the Women’s Giving Network each donated at least $100 to this Women’s Challenge. They raised $5,000 and placed 30 Aunt Flow dispensing units in all women’s and unisex restrooms at the Main Campus, Urban Campus, Blong Technology Center, and West Davenport Center. These units dispense free feminine pads and tampons and EICC committed to stocking the machines with the Aunt Flow products.
Way to go SCCF WGN members!
