Employee Development Funds
The development of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges' faculty and staff is important
to the teaching and learning mission of the college. Two funds have been established
to support ongoing education and training for employees: the Employee Educational
Advancement Fund and the Employee Professional Development Fund.
Employee Educational Advancement Fund
This fund will support tuition and course fees for bachelor and graduate-level education
or non-degree certifications. Distinguished Faculty should use their Distinguished
Faculty-allocated funds first before applying for this funding. Applications are reviewed
by the committee on the first Tuesday of every month.
Employee Professional Development Fund
This fund will support registration and travel expenses to attend conferences, workshops
and webinars; to participate in short-term training; or to bring in external speakers
or trainers for a specific purpose. Costs covered by other internal or external funding
are not eligible for these funds. Distinguished Faculty should use their Distinguished
Faculty-allocated funds first before applying for this funding. Applications are reviewed
by the committee on the first Tuesday of every month.
