The Clinton Community College Diversity Team is collaborating with the Clinton Historical Society and City of Clinton to offer bus tours highlighting our community’s heritage.
The community bus tours are free and will be 9 – 11:30 a.m. starting at Clinton Community College. A 30 minute presentation will be held in the CCC Auditorium before departing on the tour. Registrations will be taken by walk-ins or calling CCC Information Desk at 563-244-7001. Registration is currently open for the Spring: Historic Properties, Tues., April 22, 2025 tour. Other tour registrations will be opened three weeks prior to each tour date.

Spring: Historic Properties – Tues., April 22, 2025
Tour the 16 historic properties on the national registry and explore our historic districts. This tour provides in depth architectural history while telling the evolution of our town.
Summer: Lumber History – Tues., June 10, 2025
You hear this town was built on sawdust. This tour will follow the river to explore all the sawmill locations while also exploring the imprint The Sawmill industry left on Clinton.
October: Spooky, Scandalous, and Sordid – Tues., Oct, 28, 2025
Where is the most haunted spot in Clinton? How did Clinton earn its rough and tumble river town badge of honor? This tour showcases the infamous spots around Clinton and will capture the humanity and soul of an ever changing town.
February: Black History – Tues., February 10, 2026
Rooted in the Underground Railroad, this tour will show you the black history stories that make up our town. More than a list of famous people, this tour takes you to where history happened.
