Plan for Success
Whether you came to EICC with a clear goal or no idea what to pursue, we can help you explore career paths, create a degree plan, and design class schedules that work with your life.
We ask new students to meet with an advisor before signing up for classes their first two semesters. That way, we can get to know you better. But we want to see you after that, too. We invite all students to lean on us anytime.
Studies show the more often a student meets with their advisor, the better they do academically. That’s because we get to know you as a student and as a person. We are advisors, but we are your advocates, too. We will listen and guide, connect you to student and community resources, and support your goals.
Let’s plan for success.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a recent high school grad or a mid-career professional. Tell us your goals, interests, and how you envision your future. Let’s dive into EICC’s Guided Pathways and choose a certificate, diploma, or degree program that fits you best.
It’s OK if you don’t know what major or career field you want to pursue. We offer career exploration and assessment to all students. You can sit down with a career services coordinator to discuss your interests and strengths, and workforce opportunities.
We connect your career goal to an academic program, then create a plan that shows you step-by-step which course to take and when, through graduation. This level of degree planning provides you clear direction for what you want to achieve.
If you don’t come to us, we’ll check in with you periodically to check on your progress. If you decide to change your major, we’ll create a new degree plan.
Transfer students also get a degree plan. This way, you know you are on-track and the courses you are taking are eligible for transfer.
If you know where you want to transfer to finish your bachelor’s degree, we highly recommend you work with us and with an advisor at your transfer college. They can provide additional guidance on what EICC courses to take.
We have transfer agreements with a number of public and private colleges and universities, and we also have guaranteed Transfer Major programs to make your move to the next campus even smoother. Questions? We are happy to share more details.
