Dominique Steverson
"There are resources outside the classroom too. Free tutoring, both online and in person, has helped me multiple times. And scholarships bring down the cost of tuition! I'll be in school for a while, so starting my education here is saving thousands. Talk about long term benefits!"

Schedule Tutoring

We offer individual tutoring in a variety of subjects. Our tutors would love to help you study, talk through difficult material, and answer questions about assignments and homework. Make appointments ahead of time and come prepared with your materials. Email mccsuccesscenterFREEEICC, call 563-288-6013, or use our online scheduling link to set up a session. Drop-ins are welcome!

Meet one-on-one with experienced writing consultants who will provide feedback and support for any kind of writing assignment at any stage of the process, from brainstorming to final revision. We do not “correct” papers, but we will discuss strategies to help you succeed in your writing—from grammar to structuring an argument. Our goal is to help you build your skills to become a stronger, more confident writer. No time for a one-on-one appointment?  We also offer writing consultations by email.  Send us your paper and a copy of your assignment, and a tutor will look over your paper and provide feedback.

We offer a variety of informational worksheets on writing topics ranging from comma splices and sentence fragments to developing paragraphs and writing research papers. Feel free to drop in to look through our resources and take the ones you need. These resources are available any time the library is open.  You can also access these resources, plus videos and more, in our MCC Success Center Canvas course
