At EICC, we want everyone—students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members—to feel safe and supported. That’s where the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) comes in. We’re here to listen, help, and make sure our campuses stay a place where people look out for one another.

When you share a concern about a student, BIT steps in to offer help and connect them with resources. Your voice can make a difference in creating a caring and welcoming environment for all.

When to Report

You should report concerns when you notice:

  • A sudden change in a student’s mood, behavior, or appearance.
  • Distressing or harmful comments about themselves or others.
  • Signs that they may be struggling with their mental health or overall wellness.

How to Report

Reporting is simple, confidential, and open to anyone in our community. Use the Maxient reporting system to share your concerns. Once the form is submitted, BIT will investigate the situation and take necessary steps to help.

What BIT Does

The team will:

  • Address concerns about students who may be struggling.
  • Coordinate outreach, support, and referrals.
  • Promote safety through early intervention and proactive assistance.
  • Review reports and monitor situations to ensure appropriate follow-up.

Who is on the Team

BIT is a multi-departmental group of campus professionals, including program faculty and staff from counseling, student services, and more. These individuals work together to address concerns and provide support.
