EICC to Honor Clinton Nursing Graduates at 2026 Pinning Ceremony 

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) will honor Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) graduates during the 2026 Nursing Pinning Ceremony at its Clinton campus on Monday, May 18, at 1 p.m., 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton.  

The ceremony celebrates students completing the college’s nursing program and recognizes their dedication to compassionate, professional patient care. The nursing pinning tradition symbolizes the transition from student nurse to professional caregiver and marks an important milestone in each graduate’s journey. 

The event will include welcome remarks from Clinton Community College President Brian Kelly, EdD, as well as presentations from Nursing Instructor Erin Adams and student speakers Tytan Newsom and Olivia Reusch. 

Pins will be presented by Nursing Instructor Roxanne Schmertmann. Each graduate has selected a special individual to place their pin during the ceremony.

The ceremony will conclude with the recitation of the Nightingale Pledge and closing remarks from Lori Haugen, Associate Dean of Nursing.
