  • What inspired you to work in education?
When I enrolled at SCC in 2015, a career in education was not part of the plan. I joined the work-study program and was placed in the Continuing Education department. It didn’t take long for the work to grow on me. Later, I transitioned to the eLearning department as a work-study and I’ve been here ever since! After earning my A.A.S. from SCC, I was offered a full-time position as an Administrative Assistant. Today, I’m proud to serve as an eLearning Specialist. What began as a student job turned into a fulfilling career.
  • What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy working with students and helping them sort out any issues with their online classes. After years on the administrative side, it’s been a fun challenge to dive into the Canvas tools and technology. It’s definitely a learning curve, but I’m loving the experience!
  • Can you share a memorable moment or achievement during your time at the college?
Every day I get to support both students and faculty. It feels good knowing I can play a small part in student success and help instructors make their classes the best they can be.
  • What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
With three kids, life is busy and full but when I have time, I enjoy relaxing (of course, LOL) but also crafting and taking dance fitness classes.
  • Can you share a piece of advice for students or colleagues?
Keep striving, keep growing, and keep pushing forward.
  • If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Time travel - to revisit missed opportunities and relive meaningful moments.
