This summer, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is inviting kids and teens to
log off and lean in with more than 70 hands-on summer camps designed to spark creativity, build skills, and keep students engaged.
Open to youth ages 8–18, EICC summer camps focus on real interests - from 3D printing,
media production, culinary skills, art, and technology, to investing, career exploration,
and personal growth. Each camp is designed to get students actively creating and learning
in a supportive environment.
Many camps are taught by EICC faculty and experienced instructors, giving students
the opportunity to learn directly from professionals who teach and work in these fields.
Whether students are designing a project, preparing a recipe, or exploring a new skill,
instructors guide them through hands-on activities that build confidence and curiosity.
“A lot of summer programs focus on keeping kids busy and having fun,” said Cori Regenold,
EICC’s Community Education Program Manager. “Our camps do that too, but they also
help kids explore their interests, learn new skills, and try things they might not
experience anywhere else.”
Most camps run half a day, giving families flexibility. Students can also stack select
morning and afternoon camps to create a full-day experience. Campers staying all day
can bring a sack lunch and drink and remain supervised by EICC staff during the lunch
hour.
Scholarships are available to help make camps accessible for more families. Awards
range from $99 to $250 depending on the location, and scholarships are available for
one camp per camper. Families with multiple children can apply by submitting a separate
application for each camper.
Camps take place at multiple EICC locations across the region, including:
- Blong Technology Center, Davenport
- Clinton Community College, Clinton
- DeWitt Career Advancement Center, DeWitt
- CCC Maquoketa Center, Maquoketa
- Muscatine Community College, Muscatine
- Scott Community College, Bettendorf
- SCC Urban Campus, Davenport
- West Davenport Center, Davenport
With a wide variety of topics and limited class sizes, early registration is encouraged.
