Living Peace 365 is proud to announce it will host a free, family-friendly event to celebrate Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The community is invited to gather for an afternoon of family fun, excitement and community togetherness.

The event, designed for all ages, will feature a diverse range of activities to ensure a memorable experience for every family member. Highlights include a meaningful short program to honor the historical significance of Juneteenth, followed by lively entertainment.

Attendees can look forward to a captivating puppet show, creative face painting, and beautiful hair braiding, bouncy house and more. The celebration will also showcase a variety of local vendors offering unique goods and services, alongside community booths providing valuable information and resources.  One booth that will be accepting canned food items to be distributed amongst our local food pantries.  Another booth will be collecting items to assist people in crisis. 

"Juneteenth is a day of reflection, celebration, and community," Mardell Mommsen Flippen. "We are thrilled to bring together families from across the Clinton area community for a free event that not only celebrates freedom but also fosters unity and peace. We invite everyone to join us for what promises to be a day filled with joy, learning, and connection."
