Muscatine Community College (MCC) is excited to host its inaugural "Pink-tastic Mile," a community event dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness. In partnership with the Muscatine Running Club, the event will take place on Saturday, October 26, starting at 10 a.m. outside Strahan Hall, 152 Colorado St., Muscatine, IA.

People of all ages are invited to participate, whether by running or walking for the pink ribbon. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink to show their support. The event is free, but free-will donations are welcomed, with all proceeds benefiting Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities.

"We’re thrilled to bring the first-ever 'Pink-tastic Mile' to Muscatine,” said Trevor Meyers, MCC’s Student Engagement and Residential Life Coordinator. "Breast cancer affects so many lives in our community, and this event is an opportunity for us to unite, raise awareness, and contribute to a meaningful cause.”

The one-mile course will kick off at 10 a.m. from MCC’s large parking lot outside Strahan Hall.

“Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, we hope you’ll join us in making a difference," said Meyers.
