Are you passionate about agriculture and eager to start a career in one of Iowa’s most vital industries? You’re invited to Agriculture Visit Day at Muscatine Community College (MCC) on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 9 – 11 a.m. in Strahan Hall, located at 152 Colorado St., Muscatine, IA.

As the nation’s leader in corn, soybeans, and pork production, Iowa’s agriculture industry plays a critical role in the U.S. economy. With agriculture contributing over $30 billion annually and supporting nearly one-third of all jobs in the state, the demand for skilled professionals continues to grow.

At Agriculture Visit Day, you’ll get an inside look at MCC’s agriculture programs, designed to prepare you for a successful career in this rewarding field. Whether you’re interested in agribusiness, conservation, or farm management, we have something for you. Programs include:

What to Expect During Your Visit:

  • Tour the campus and see the spaces where you’ll learn and grow.
  • Meet with our expert instructors who are committed to helping you succeed.
  • Learn about financial aid and support services that will help you make the most of your education.

At MCC, we don’t just teach agriculture—we immerse you in it. You’ll gain real, hands-on experience through over 2,000 hours of paid internships, often earning more than your tuition costs. Plus, with access to agriculture-specific scholarships, professional development opportunities, and career placement support, you’ll be set up for success after graduation.

“As an institution, we’ve always been at the forefront of agricultural education,” says Julia Dieckman, MCC Agriculture Instructor. “MCC was the first community college to offer an Agribusiness associate’s degree, and we continue to evolve our programs to meet industry demands. Our students leave with a strong foundation and unique opportunities for their future careers.”
