Live here! Muscatine Community College offers great student housing, just a few steps from your classrooms.

These campus apartments are a great place to live and learn. Choose a single room or get a roommate and share a two-room suite. Either way, you have plenty of room to kick back and relax with friends. Grab a book and a seat on your couch.

Here's your housing options for Nyweide-Scott Hall:

  • Two Room Suite – Students share two rooms and their own bath. They can use one room as their bedroom and the second as a study room, living area or a combination of both. The rent is $465 per month. Subject to availability.
  • Single Room – Students have a single private room with plenty of room for their bed, desk and belongings. They share a bathroom with one other roommate. The rent is $387 per month.

Monthly Rental Fees for the 2023-2024 academic year are subject to board approval.

In addition to the rooms, each unit includes a central living area and full kitchen. There is an onsite laundry.

Apply for the Nyweide-Scott Housing Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria for First Year Students:
  • High School Senior with 3.0 GPA or above, OR 18 or higher on ACT
  • Enroll in an Agriculture, Veterinary Technician, or Fine Arts program
  • Students with demonstrated financial need will be given preference
  • Renewable for each academic year, with up to two years of eligibility

Complete the first year students application form

Eligibility Criteria for Second Year Students:
  • Enrolled in an Agriculture, Veterinary Technician, or Fine Arts program
  • Making anticipated progress in program, as outlined by faculty/advisor
  • 3.0 GPA or above with 24 credits completed
  • Students with demonstrated financial need will be given preference
  • Actively engaged in the Agribusiness Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Farm Management, Veterinary Technician program, or Fine Arts related club

Other Important Information

  • Must maintain full-time enrollment every fall and spring semester; summer enrollment, as necessary
  • Can be used for housing costs only in fall and spring semesters
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA to maintain scholarship after the first semester
  • $500/ semester ($1,000/ year)
  • Complete the scholarship application form by the priority deadline of May 21.
