Additive Manufacturing with 3-D Modeling
Effective Fall 2022
Manufacturing and product design are relying on advanced technology now more than ever before. Global competition is expanding and bringing with it the need or a new manufacturing skill set. Industry 4.0 will not only bring on higher levels of automation and connectivity but new methods of design and manufacturing as well. Through digital 3-D modeling and additive manufacturing the concept of quicker to market and faster re-design of new products becomes reality.
At EICC (Eastern Iowa Community Colleges) we are joining this new movement with our Additive Manufacturing with 3-D Modeling program. Industry is demanding these new skills and through hands on instruction with 3-D modeling software, 3-D scanning equipment and 3-D printer’s students will learn these new skills. Graduates will be trained to create 3-D models and designs and to transfer digital data using paperless means. This training will give graduates a heads up in the fast-changing world of Advanced Manufacturing.
