Program Description for Agribusiness Equipment Technician
Muscatine Community College’s (MCC) Agribusiness Management Department has joined
forces with Scott Community College’s Diesel Technology Department to create an exciting
new program for students, Agribusiness Equipment Technician.
Graduates of the Associate in Applied Science program have the skills they need to
have their choice of two different career paths. One path specializes in sales and
the human side of the equipment world while the other specializes in the highly skilled
area of mechanics technology.
Successful students become well-rounded, employable, third-party certified professionals
equipped to enter careers in the ag equipment field at an entry level or above sales
position or as a service technician.

Earn While You Learn
One of the really great parts of this program, as with MCC’s other agricultural programs,
is that students literally earn while they learn. Students spend part of their time
in actual work environments, earning money, while they are learning on the job.
