This is a list of potential work-study positions, and some positions may have already been filled. Employment is not guaranteed. Please email the contact person to inquire. 

All positions pay $12.50 per hour.

Scanning, filing, and indexing in DocuWare.  Assisting at the front desk and providing lunch coverage.  Making copies, answering phones, and greeting customers.  Must be detail oriented. Tasks could include archiving records, registering students, preparing documentation for orientations, assisting with graduation, and updating presentations or social media content.  Will be working with confidential information.

Get kids excited about reading!  With direction from the classroom teacher, you will tutor students one-on-one or in small groups in the subjects or reading and math. You will assist in the classroom with individual students.  

Positions are available in two Clinton Community School District Elementary Schools.

Wage: $12.50

Greeting patrons, answering phones, check in/check out/renew materials, and updating patron accounts. Taking payments in the form of cash, check or card and making change as needed.  Finding materials, answering reference questions, and helping patrons use public computers. Printing, making copies, and scanning. Processing circulation of materials, putting away materials in proper locations, shelving, shifting, reading and /or straightening shelves.

Assisting instructors with setting up the lab for class, checking inventory and supplies for ordering, and cleaning up with lab including putting equipment away properly and keeping floors clean.

Tutoring students in specific subjects, assisting students with computers, providing a friendly environment, opening and securing the room, and other duties as assigned.  If interested there is a separate application when you interview; you must have at least a ‘B’ in the subject, you wish to tutor.

Greet, welcome, and encourage students.  Help new students register for the program; keep classroom materials filed and organized; make copies; assist with tutoring as appropriate; escort students to testing as needed; and be an ambassador for EICC.

Perform clerical work for the Maquoketa Center, answer phones, assemble packets for the Maquoketa HiSET classes, and other duties as assigned.  Maquoketa residents preferred.

Lead campus tours and welcome visitors to campus; educate the community about EICC opportunities.  Assist in college outreach efforts and events and follow up with prospective students via phone or email.  Participate in training and leadership development activities and attend student ambassador meetings as needed.

Assist with setting up student events, updating whiteboards, distributing flyers, and helping at events if needed.  Crafting flyers and posters using basic graphic design and helping with clubs.  Assisting with ‘Eat It’ meals and making phone calls to local businesses. Other duties as assigned.
