Financial Aid
Financial aid can provide assistance for students who otherwise might find it difficult
or impossible to attend college. To receive maximum consideration for all types of
financial assistance, file the FAFSA by March 1, and reapply each academic year.
The amount of your grant or scholarship in excess of tuition and course-related fees,
books, supplies and equipment is considered as income for tax purposes. If you have
any questions concerning the payment of income tax, contact your accountant, tax preparer,
or the IRS Service at 1-800-829-1040.
