Financial Aid
The primary purpose of financial aid is to provide assistance for students who otherwise
might find it difficult or impossible to attend college. To receive maximum consideration
for all types of financial assistance, students should file the FAFSA by March 1.
Students must reapply each academic year.
You should be aware that the amount of your grant or scholarship in excess of tuition
and course-related fees, books, supplies and equipment is considered as income for
tax purposes. If you have any questions concerning the payment of income tax, you
should contact your accountant, tax preparer, or the IRS Service at 1-800-829-1040.
