Welcome to the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges Chancellor Search 2024-25. We are committed to ensuring the process of selecting our next Chancellor is inclusive, transparent, and reflects the values of our diverse community. 

Your Voice Matters 

We believe that every stakeholder – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members – has a vital role to play in shaping the future leadership of our college. That’s why we are actively seeking your help in defining the qualities and experience we should look for in our next Chancellor. 

Participate in the Chancellor Open Forums

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) invites all faculty, staff, students, and community members to engage in the selection process for our next Chancellor by attending the upcoming open forums. These sessions provide a unique opportunity to meet the finalists, ask questions, and offer feedback that will inform the Board of Trustees' final decision.

Guidelines for Engagement

  • Be Present & Engaged. Your participation is crucial. Engage directly with the candidates to understand their leadership philosophies and visions for EICC.
  • Ask Thoughtful Questions. Focus on topics that assess the candidates' leadership styles, strategic thinking, and alignment with EICC's mission and values.
  • Keep Questions Brief & Relevant. To allow ample time for all voices, please be concise and stay on topic.
  • Maintain a Positive & Professional Atmosphere. Foster a welcoming and collaborative environment, reflecting the college's professional standards.
  • Provide Feedback. After each forum, complete the Candidate Feedback Form to share your insights with the Board of Trustees.

Search Chair recommends to full board 3–5 finalists to bring to campuses for forums and interviews.

March 10 - 14

Finalist Forums and Board Interviews (In-Person)
Forum Schedule will be shared in early March.

Special Board Meeting (Closed Session) 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Board discusses finalist interviews.

We anticipate announcing the new Chancellor in early April during a Special Board Meeting.

Larry EbbersSearch Consultant

Larry Ebbers, PhD., has spent his career shaping the future of higher education. In addition to a 50-year tenure at Iowa State University, Ebbers is known for founding key programs like the Leader Institute for a New Century (LINC), and the Community College Leadership Initiative Consortium (CLIC), both which have prepared countless community college administrators for leadership roles. His expertise and his dedication to fostering diverse, inclusive leaders has made a significant impact nationwide.
