Iowa Department of Education Visit

February 12 & 13, 2025

This spring, EICC will welcome the Iowa Department of Education for a scheduled site visit on February 12-13, 2025. The visit is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure we continue meeting high standards in areas such as faculty qualifications, program quality, strategic planning, and campus facilities. It's an important opportunity for us to showcase the continued growth and success of EICC as we work to provide exceptional learning experiences and support for our students.

Timeline

  • November 6: Orientation for core team members to align objectives and understand evaluation criteria.
  • November 21, 2 – 4 p.m.: A meeting will be held with a team of faculty, staff, and administration to prepare evidence for the State Review. Participants will break into smaller groups to work on gathering and refining the necessary documentation.
  • The core team will focus on preparing evidence and organizing logistics for the State Review visit, ensuring all necessary materials are finalized and aligned with evaluation criteria.

  • Individualized meetings will be scheduled to focus on gathering the necessary evidence and compiling reports for the State Review. Each meeting will be tailored to address specific areas. 
  • December 19: Evidence Due 

December 24, 2024 – January 2, 2025

  • State Visit Huddles will be organized with faculty, staff, and administration, focusing on specific sessions identified by the state.
  • Coordinate with the State Review Team to finalize visit logistics, including scheduling, requirements, and necessary information.

Coordinate district-wide communications through meetings and emails to ensure all faculty, staff, and administration are informed about meeting schedules, locations, and times.

  • February 12 & 13: State Visit 
    • On-site interviews will be conducted as part of the State Review process. These interviews will involve discussions with faculty, staff, and administration to gather insights and assess the alignment of programs and services with state standards. The interviews provide an opportunity for direct feedback and in-depth evaluation.
    • EICC team presentations will be a key part of the State Review process, where various team members will present findings, evidence, and updates on specific areas of the review. These presentations will highlight EICC's progress and alignment with state standards, providing an opportunity for the team to showcase ongoing improvements.
