New Urban Campus Opens Classroom Building
We’re very excited to announce the new Classroom (West) Building portion of the Urban Campus is open!
There are still some finishing touches being done to the building but we’re open for business. All classes previously held at the Kahl Educational Center have been moved to the new campus at 101 W. Third Street.
Students who still need to register for Spring classes, or take care of other business before classes begin Jan. 16, should go to the new campus. One note, the bookstore will remain at the Kahl Educational Center for now and move in a few weeks.
You can enter the new building either through the temporary entrance in the middle of the building on Third Street or through the side entrance on Main Street.
Urban Campus Student Parking
There are many free parking options at the new SCC Urban Campus. Two-hour on-street parking is available at no charge. Limited handicap accessible and short-term parking is located on streets directly around the campus.
Free parking will be available to students (with a free Urban Campus parking permit) in both the Harrison Parking Ramp in the 300 block of West Second Street and the Redstone Parking Ramp in the 100 block of West River Drive.
Students must display a parking permit on their dashboard. Permits are available in Student Services on the second floor of the Urban Campus.
