More about our foundations
Paul B. Sharar Foundation (Clinton Community College)
The Paul B. Sharar Foundation is named in honor of the first dean of Clinton Community
College. Dean Sharar had a vision of education as the way people learn to live more
useful lives for themselves and for their fellow citizens so they feel the joy of
accomplishment above and beyond the common-place that might have been. In 2022-23,
more than $243,000 in scholarship funding was awarded to CCC students through the
Paul B. Sharar Foundation. Generous donors including the Metallica All Within My
Hands Foundation contribute to the Sharar Foundation creating scholarships with a
variety of criteria such as academic promise, financial need, program of study and
geographic area.

Muscatine Community College Foundation
The Muscatine Community College Foundation was founded in 1961 as a non-profit steward
of gifts to the college, the Muscatine Community College Foundation strives to provide
a "margin of excellence" to the college's programs and facilities. Our mission is
to raise, invest, and grant funds allowing for the advancement of the academic, economic,
and personal growth of diverse MCC populations through donor-directed charitable donations.
The MCC Foundation will assist MCC in achieving educational excellence through support
of scholarships, programs, and facilities.
For more information about the Muscatine Community College Foundation, contact Lisa Wiegel at lwiegel@eicc.edu.
Scott Community College Foundation
The Scott Community College Foundation was established in 1985 as a nonprofit organization,
Scott Community College (SCC) Foundation is independent from Scott Community College
and is governed by a volunteer board. Each year the SCC Foundation receives generous
gifts from the Scott Community College Foundation Board members, our faculty and staff
members, area businesses and organizations, and many other friends. Some of these
gifts enable us to offer scholarships to a number of our deserving students. Others
help us acquire new instructional equipment or launch special projects.
