Eastern Iowa Community Colleges has a solution for you: short-term career training programs that will help you gain access to a rewarding career field that is both challenging and profitable!
Join Paula M. Arends, Director of Continuing Education and Professional Development, and a knowledgeable EICC Admissions Counselor, at our upcoming virtual information sessions on Tuesday, August 17 at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to learn more about short-term career training programs and funding resources available to help you prepare for a high-skill, high-demand career in health, transportation, construction or manufacturing.

EICC offers a number of short-term career training programs that allow students to immediately enter the job market upon completion. Many offer salaries and job satisfaction similar to those that require four-year degrees.
If you’re ready for a career change, consider a short-term training program in one of the following occupations:
- Truck Driving – Six-week class format
- Welding – Eight-week class format with flexible scheduling
- CNC Machining – Eight-week class format with flexible scheduling
- Building Trades – Six-week class format
- Phlebotomy – Nine-week course format
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) – Six/eight-week class format
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – 16-week class format
- Paramedic – 40-week class format
