Campus Visit June 9

Two students at registration desk on campusSummer is nearly upon us, and that means the start of fall classes will be here before you know it. With classes starting August 23, now is a great time to finalize college plans and register. To help, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) invites students and families to visit its Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges, including the SCC Urban Campus, on June 9 beginning at 9 a.m.

The college will have representatives on hand to answer any and all questions about college programs, financial aid, applying for admission and more.

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is THE Community’s College with a wide variety of options ranging from a college transfer program for students interested in completing a bachelor’s degree or beyond, to 32 career programs for those wanting to enter directly into the job market.

College transfer students are guaranteed their credits will transfer once they finish here thanks to formal agreements with the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, St. Ambrose University, Western Illinois University and others who have signed with EICC. The college also offers more than a dozen different Transfer Major Associate Degrees. The state’s community colleges and public universities joined forces to create these majors, enabling students to start taking classes required for their major while at EICC.

The colleges’ technical programs range from advanced manufacturing and auto to nursing and business, with everything else in between. Faculty maintain close relationships with business leaders to make sure they are teaching the skills that are most in-demand in today’s job market. Many of the college’s programs have even been designated high-demand by the state of Iowa, which means students may have the opportunity to get their tuition paid through Iowa’s new Last Dollar Program.

In addition, EICC’s tuition is one of the most competitive in the state of Iowa and many grant, loan and scholarship options make a college education possible for everyone.

The session is open to anyone who is already out of school and thinking about starting their college or technical education. To ensure everyone’s safety and offer the best experience possible, on-campus visits will be limited in size and advance registration is required. Our staff and all visitors are expected to follow health and safety guidelines.
