Metallica Scholars Open House — February 22
2/4/22
We invite you to join us at our upcoming Metallica Scholars Open House to learn more about Clinton Community College's Engineering Technology program and how you can earn a scholarship to enter this high-demand career.
Tuesday, February 22 | 4 – 6:30 p.m.
Clinton Community College Technology Center
1951 Manufacturing Dr., Clinton, IA
Attendees of the event will:
- Tour the college’s facilities and watch live demonstrations of our state-of-the-art equipment.
- Meet engineering tech instructors and current students.
- Learn how to qualify for a $1,500 scholarship from the Metallica Scholars Initiative.
- Pizza and beverages will be provided.
Plus, all student attendees will be entered for a chance to win an electric guitar,
a gift certificate for Wolverine work boots and Metallica posters!
This exciting scholarship opportunity stems from a $100,000 grant that CCC received last fall from Metallica’s All Within My Hands (AWMH) Foundation. Their initiative, named Metallica Scholars, is designed to directly support students while also elevating the importance of career and technical education.
Since then, CCC has used this funding to help cover costs for students enrolled in the college’s Engineering Technology program. In preparation for the Metallica Scholars Open House, 30 $1,500 scholarships are still available! This scholarship, coupled with Iowa’s Last Dollar Scholarship, means that students could get their tuition, fees, books, and equipment fully paid for.
In the meantime, we invite you to learn more about our Engineering Technology program and come with any questions you may have for our instructors or students.
