Summer Classes

Studetns working on homework outsideMake Eastern Iowa Community Colleges your first choice for classes this summer.

Whether planning to enroll at Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community Colleges next fall, or a four-year college or university, you get a head start by completing a class or two this summer.

If you’re just starting college, enrolling in summer classes makes your load a little lighter during your first year. Even if you’re already in college, summer classes can make your next semester go a little more smoothly and it also gives you a chance to catch up on a course you may have missed in a previous year.

A tremendous number of full-time students at other colleges and universities attend summer classes at one of our colleges. These students take the credits they earn with us in such classes as Statistics, Calculus, Physics, Public Speaking, Macro & Micro-Economics, World Issues and Foreign Language, and transfer them back to their parent institution. And that's just a few of the many courses available in our summer schedule.

We offer a number of summer sessions:

May 30Start of First Four-Week and Eight-Week Sessions

June 26Start of Second Four-Week Session

Students enrolling at one of our colleges this fall should speak with their advisor about enrolling for summer.

Iowa university students:

Ask around among your classmates and we’re sure you’ll soon discover that many of your friends are taking classes with us during the summer and transferring them back out to your college in the fall.

The state universities and community colleges have cooperated to make that process easy, even creating the Transfer in Iowa website. The website provides information you need to see how classes transfer from us to your college.

You can find the information to enroll for summer here. Of course, you can always give us a call at 1-888-336-3907 or email us at to get answers to all of your questions.
