SCC Food Pantry
Overcome food insecurity with bi-weekly grocery pick-up
We know you often face challenges beyond what’s going on in the classroom. That’s
why we partner with RiverBend Food Bank to provide non-perishable items, fresh produce,
dairy products and more to any currently enrolled student who signs up for the SCC
Food Pantry.
The process is as easy.
How to sign up for the SCC Food Pantry
Register for the program
Get started by filling out a simple sign-up request form. If you’ve used the pantry before, you can skip this step.
Complete your grocery list
Fill out your grocery list by marking the items you’d like. Lists need be completed before 8 a.m. on the day
of distribution. If you miss the deadline stop by the SCC Food Pantry in Room 1114 and talk to Marge.
Pick up your food
Curbside food pick up is available the first and third Wednesday of every month from
11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The pick-up zone is outside of Door 4. Just call the pantry
at 563-441-4263 when you enter the parking lot and let us know what type of vehicle
you’re driving. We’ll bring the box right out.
If you cannot make it during these hours, that’s okay. You may add one additional person to pick-up in your place. They’ll just need to show their ID before leaving with your box. You can add them to your grocery list. The name on their ID and the name you provide must match, so make sure to include their full name.
On your first pick up you will need to provide your class schedule.

Returning pantry users

All pantry users
The SCC Pantry is staffed by volunteers from Our Savior Lutheran Church and food is
delivered from the Riverbend Foodbank on the morning of distribution. The SCC Pantry
is supported by Scott Community College and coordinated through the Dean of Students
office.
You will need to show your current schedule and a photo ID the first time you use
the pantry each semester.
The pantry may also close early if all orders have been picked up and no more students are scheduled to receive an order.
Food orders are only available on the dates listed. If your order is not picked up before 2:20 p.m., your food items will be returned to the shelves. We know life happens, so if you’re running late or will not be able to make it, please call the pantry at 563-441-4263 to let us know.
If you fail to pick up your food order without notification two times, you will be removed from the list. If you decide you want to use the pantry again, you’ll need to meet with the Dean of Students prior to sign-up.
