Being a lifelong resident of Iowa and more specifically, Muscatine, my husband and
I have raised two children and have built a great home and happy life here…Iowa is
a great place to raise a family! GO HAWKS!!
As a non-traditional student, I went back to school after my children were grown and
in college themselves. Before transferring to Western Illinois University and completing
my Bachelor’s degree, I graduated from Muscatine Community College with a degree in
Business. My educational journey has taught me many things, but the most important
things I learned were, anything is achievable at any time in your life if you want
it bad enough; and also that we do what is right for us when it is right for us, not
when it is right for anyone else. It sounds cliché but working with students and watching
them achieve their educational goals is the greatest fulfillment my job gives me every
day.
