Brittany Beard is excited to serve as your TRIO Success Coach at Scott Community College. She came into this role to inspire students, but she quickly found it’s the students who inspire her! She received her Bachelors in Communication Studies from Iowa State University (go Cyclones!) and her Masters in Adult in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Northern Illinois University. She has almost 10 years of experience working with college students from diverse backgrounds.
She is the first in her family to attend college and was also in TRIO as a college student; so she knows first-hand the impact that TRIO has on students’ lives. She is an enthusiastic leader who embraces diversity, driven by goals, and is passionate about student success. She is originally from Des Moines, IA. In her free time, you can catch her spending time with family and friends, going on walks, reading, and watching movies. Her husband is her greatest support and together they have three beautiful and energetic daughters.
