Tutoring at CCC
We will offer the following options for tutoring at CCC for the Spring of 2021:
Drop in Tutoring: (Student Success Center, CCC Main Campus, Room 104)
We will be offering free tutoring for anyone who drops in for help. We do ask that
if anyone needs help with a paper, to please email a copy of the paper to CCCsuccesscenter@eicc.edu along with the assignment sheet and a day/time that the student would be free to
work with a tutor. The paper will then be forwarded to the tutor. This will allow
the student and the tutor to maintain a distance of 6 feet.
Smarthinking Online Tutoring: (all semester)
All students have access to free Smarthinking Online Tutoring through Canvas. Students
can drop in or make appointments for online tutoring, submit a question, submit their
writing, and find a variety of writing resources. Simply click on “Smarthinking Online
Tutoring” in the left menu of any Canvas class.
Writing Consultations via Email: (all semester)
Students can email the Success Center at CCCsuccesscenter@eicc.edu to request a tutor to read their paper and make comments using the Comments feature
in Microsoft Word. The tutor will respond within 48 hours of receiving the paper (not
including weekends). Students must forward the assignment sheet along with their paper.
Zoom Tutoring: (all semester)
By emailing CCCsuccesscenter@eicc.edu, students may also request a 45-minute Zoom meeting for live remote tutoring. The
tutor will set up the Zoom meeting and send the access number/link to the student.
Tutoring will begin on Thursday, January 21. The last day for tutoring this semester is Tuesday, May 11.
