Evening Associate’s Degree with Business Emphasis
One Day – One Class – One Goal – Entrepreneurial Spirit
The entrepreneurial spirit, the spirit of relying on your own talents and energies to reach success is driving America today. That same spirit is captured in this new program designed for those with busy day schedules but willing to work for a degree that will open doors to their future.
Using a combination of classroom and online instruction, students will complete their Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in Business in just four years.
- Individualized faculty and staff advising
- Support services, including study groups and tutoring
- Clear pathway to completion of an Associate’s Degree
- Seamless transfer of credits to a Bachelor’s Degree
- Coursework with emphasis in Entrepreneurship, even the non-business classes!
In addition, students will have unique opportunities to engage in enhanced learning experiences including:
- Small Business Development Center Consulting
- Business and Faculty Mentorships
- Portfolio Experience
How it Works:
You’ll follow a specified plan of courses. You’ll take just one class at a time. Each class is held on Tuesday nights for eight weeks.
All classes are held at one location, the SCC Urban Campus, 101 West Third St., in downtown Davenport. Your instructor will also be assigning you some additional class work online.
Once you complete a class, you simply move onto the next class for another eight weeks. Classes are held throughout the year, including the summer. An added bonus is that you will have the support of other students who are on the same plan as you. (Don’t worry, if you miss one class in there somewhere, we can help to get you back on track.)
You can focus on just one course and only commit to one night a week to be in class. The evening AA program, provides the convenience, flexibility and continuity that will help you move forward to complete the degree at a steady pace.
You’ll have the benefits of a clear path to completion, instructors working together
to ensure your success, and the support of other students going through the same program
