Educational Background:
Associates Degree from Muscatine Community College.  Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University in Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Why Community College?
It’s a great place to start, an easy transition, and smaller class room sizes makes it easier to have access to your professors for any help at any time. These were the reasons I choose Muscatine Community College. I was able to form a bonds and strong friendships with my professors here at MCC. Every step of the way all of my professors had my best interest in mind, and that’s something that is so valuable and highly important to students.

Best things about working with students:
It’s so exciting to get students encouraged, engaged and most importantly motivated to get started on their education. It’s all about that seeing students take that first initial step and watching them evolve, grow and mold into their aspirations. It’s one of the most rewarding feelings.

Other information about me:
After graduation I worked at the Muscatine Y in the character development program working with our youth in the community. I also worked at the City of Muscatine in the Parks and Recreation Department. I love coaching. I am a t-ball, blastball!, boys’ soccer, girls basketball coach. I love being able to see students succeeding and excelling academics and or in the sports world.

I love sports, especially watching my nieces and nephews sporting events! I have a lot of love for my home-town community, family and especially my fur-baby mini Australian Shepard Ollie. I’m a huge Chicago Cubs fan (we will win a world series you watch!) and a New York Knicks fan.  A fun fact about myself,  free-style hip-hop dancing is one of my favorite past-time things to do.
