Educational Background:

Attended Black Hawk College and received a Bachelor’s of Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Historical Studies

Why Community College?

I chose a Community College because I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go.  But I knew I wanted to keep learning.  That decision allowed me time to learn a little bit more about college and myself so I could make the right choice for my next move.

Best things about working with students:

Knowing that we can make the college experience accessible to everyone is the best part of working with students.  College doesn’t feel like a real option to some, but sharing the opportunities available with those students is the best.

Other information about me:

I have worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters and John Deere previously and learned a lot and made an impact in many different ways through those opportunities.  But it always comes back to helping people and I think that’s what I am able to as an Admissions Coordinator here in Muscatine.

I’ve lived in St. Louis and Chicago, and though I have loved both, this will always be home.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and running every chance I get.
