
EICC COVID-19 Operational Condition Guide
Effective March 1, the college is operating under Condition Green.
Determination of Operational Condition is determined based on a number of factors; no single number or factor will trigger a change in condition. Factors include:
- Current county and college community vaccination rates.
- Current 7-day average COVID-19 infection rate in the county in which a facility is located and/or primarily serves.
- New COVID-19 positive cases in the county in a which a facility is located and/or primarily serves.
- CDC Risk Assessment Levels
- Number of positive cases of students and/or employees on campus
- Number of students and/or employees quarantined off campus due to exposure/waiting test results
- Number of students or employees screened by health check to stay off campus and/or number of student and employee absentees
- Campus leadership assessment of the successful observance of health and safety precautions
- Status of area K-12 school districts served
- Guidance and advice from local public health officials
- Other mitigating conditions on campus and/or in the community (e.g. functioning of
public utilities, public safety conditions, weather events, hospital capacity, etc.)
The college utilizes the following sources of information: CDC, Iowa Department of Health, EICC Human Resources, Local Partners including K-12s, businesses and hospitals.

Factors to consider: vaccination levels of our counties and our college community, current 7-day county
infection rate, number of county positive cases not significantly on the rise, risk
assessment levels, proportionally low number of positive cases on campus and low absenteeism,
community factors on positive trend.

increasing numbers of positive cases on campus and rising absenteeism, community factors
of concern.
Social Distancing
Food and beverages are only allowed in designated areas on campus. |
Face Masks
Face Masks are required for employees while indoors on campus. Face Masks will be required in spaces where social distancing is not possible such as in science, hands-on labs, office spaces or high capacity classrooms. The college reserves the right to require face masks in Condition Yellow.

Health Assessment
Students, Guests and Visitors Students are encouraged to assess their COVID-19 related symptoms daily. Students living in MCC's college housing will be required to complete daily health checks via HealthCheck360. Fully vaccinated employees Vaccinated employees are exempted from daily HealthCheck 360 after completing and submitting vaccination attestation form to HR. Unvaccinated employees Required to complete HealthCheck 360; must receive a “green check” to come on campus. |
