Disability Services Coordinator

The Disability Services Coordinator is designed to help students who experience any type of learning difficulties due to physical or learning disabilities, limited English skills, reading, math, spelling, or writing problems. There are also resources for a number of learning strategies that can enhance learning needs for your various academic classes. These strategies can be direct “carry-overs” to your regular class demands. Included in these strategies are:

  • Critical thinking skills
  • Note taking
  • Study skills
  • Listening skills
  • Reading
  • Time management
  • Math
  • Spelling
  • Writing

Learning alternatives are also available as indicated by need:

  • Taped textbooks
  • Test alternatives
  • Taped class lectures
  • Various vocational and transition services
