Bulletin Boards and Posters
Contact the Dean of Student Development for the posting policy.
College Information Center
The College information center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Monday through Thursday,
until 5 p.m. on Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Messages may be recorded
on the “voice mail” before and after that time. Students are not to receive telephone
calls unless it is a medical EMERGENCY.
College Closings, Winter Weather
The basic guiding principle in this decision is that we will make every effort to
keep the college open. You can assume the college is open unless you hear otherwise
on one of the radio/television stations that we contact to announce a closing. Those
are KCLN, KROS, KMAQ, KUUL, WCCI, KMXG, WOC, WLLR, WKBF, WHTS, WVIK, KCOQ, KJOC, WSDR,
WQAD and KWQC-TV. As with any other day of college classes and activities, you must
use your best judgment in determining whether to come to the campus or not. There
will be times when, based on weather or other factors, we will close the college.
These will not occur that frequently, however, and again, you may choose to make a
decision not to be on campus even when we have opened. A weather information telephone
number will also announce closings. The number is (563) 244-7125. You can also check
the CCC's Facebook page for closing information.
EICCMobile App
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges now has a Mobile App! You can download it from Google
Play or the Apple App Store by searching for Eastern Iowa Mobile App. The App will
provide you easy access to your schedule of classes, college announcements, your financial
aid information and much more. It is easy to navigate and puts key college information
right on your phone.
Video Messages
These are changed daily with news for the whole College public. Important information
(deadlines, registration information, activities, speakers, etc.) will be given to
you through this medium. NOTE: If you have information to be included about a club,
activity, or special event, turn it in to your club advisor first.
Gallery
The Gallery is the student newspaper published by the Journalism Department. It is
a monthly publication available throughout the College for you to pick up.
Student Mail
Students are encouraged to have mail sent to their home or apartment, rather than
to the College. If a piece of mail should arrive at the College for you, it will be
held at the Information Center or online.
Marquee
Marquee messages are updated regularly. Students are encouraged to read the marquee
as they enter the building.
