High Aspirations and High Expectations
In the fall of 2013, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges Chancellor Don Doucette set a
goal of creating a college-wide culture of High Aspirations and High Expectations.
“In such a culture, every one of us ‘owns’ the problems we face and the strategies and tactics we employ to address them. In such a culture, everyone understands and takes personal responsibility for the role they play in the success of our mission. In a culture that owns high aspirations and high expectations, it is uncomfortable not to strive to be the best.”
Since that time a committee of faculty and staff from across all of our colleges and locations has worked together to build and help to make this goal a reality.
