TRIO Success Coach

Scott Community College is seeking a  full-time TRIO Success Coach.

 

Under the direction of the TRIO Program Director this position will be responsible for:


Provides academic and transfer advising, career exploration, and other academic and personal support services to TRIO project Scholars. Monitors, tracks, and reports on graduation and transfer rates and develops retention/transfer strategies. Complies with federal regulations, U.S. Department of Education Policy and TRIO grant objectives. Actively engaged in the implementation of TRIO projects and goals to meet program objectives. TRIO Student Support Services is a federally funded grant program that serves college students that identify as first-generation, low-income or disabled.

Qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Experience in academic advising, student transfer/articulation, and career exploration is preferred.
  • Computer literacy skills are essential for program record-keeping and federal reporting.
  • First Generation College graduates and those from underserved populations are encouraged to apply.
