
Testing and Student Services Assistant
Scott Community College is seeking a full-time Testing and Student Services Assistant
at the SCC Urban Campus/EICC District Office.

Position Summary:
Serves as receptionist/secretary/proctor for the Testing Center. Maintains communications with college faculty regarding testing procedures. Provides customer and student service, logs student information and takes care of general correspondence. Delivers comprehensive customer service via, telephone, mail and email, including information related to admissions, frontline advising, financial aid, continuing education and college programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate Degree required. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Minimum of two years of customer service experience required, preferably in an educational institution. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population. Excellent interpersonal skills critical. Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required. Knowledge of or ability to quickly master EICC software systems, including Ellucian Colleague, important. Must be able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as receptionist and proctor for the Testing Center.
- Maintains daily schedule for Testing Center activities.
- Coordinates and proctors special needs testing and other types of testing i.e., correspondence, sate dental exams, internet and community testing.
- Assists with student services projects.
- Assists with the maintenance of student records.
- May assist with scheduling appointments for students/public with campus-based service offices, such as Advising, Testing, Admissions and Financial Aid.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of EICC admissions, advising, registration, assessment and placement procedures, as well as general financial aid information.
- Scans and indexes files including students’ records as needed.
- Assists with calls to the general college line and assists students based on needs.
- Processes student IDs.
- Oversees any work study students related to front desk.
- Oversees and arranges for tutoring at the urban campus.
- Assists students in the open computer lab/tutoring center with printing and basic computer use.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
