TRIO Success Coach/Retention

Scott Belmont campus is seeking a FT. Success Coach/Retention (TRiO).  


This is a temporary position (September 2020 – June 2021)

Under the direction of the Director, TRiO Program this position will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the participation of eligible students in the Academics Creating Excellence (ACE) component of the Student Support Services (TRiO) project. This position will provide assessment, advising, workshops, and tutoring services.  The Success Coach will monitor, track, and report on progress and retention data.  The position will ensure compliance with federal regulations, Department of Education policy and TRiO grant objectives.  The Success Coach will mentor and empower program participants towards independence, self-reliance, self-advocacy, and life-long learning skills.

Qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Teaching and workshop development preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and confidential information in a complex setting.
  • Must have experience working with disadvantaged adults, diverse populations or students with disabilities in a post-secondary educational setting.
  • Must possess the attitude, knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to create an effective learning environment.
  • Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
