Lead Maintenance Technician

Scott Community College Belmont Campus is seeking a FT. Lead Maintenance Technician.

Under the direction of the Dean of Operations this position will be responsible for:

  • The Lead Maintenance Technician will manage facilities maintenance/operations for the Scott Community college Belmont Campus. Conduct oversight of day-to-day maintenance work orders and work with 3rd party contractors to ensure an effective campus learning environment. Research, plan and implement initiatives to increase physical plant efficiencies and campus sustainability.


Qualifications will include:

  • Five to seven years' experience in supervising others and managing building/plant operations, custodial or grounds operations; budget management experience; and automated work order system in the maintenance environment required. This experience needs to be within the last ten years of work history.
  • Position requires exceptional teamwork with an emphasis on visioning, leadership, quality, productivity, establishing standards, goal attainment, and development of a high-performing workforce that is valued and recognized for achievements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of safety in the work place and ability to observe safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule when required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in equipment operation and knowledge of safety devises, use and procedure.
  • Must have the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, crawl, lift 50lbs.,
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
