Graphic Artist

Eastern Iowa Community College District Office is seeking a Ft. Graphic Artist.

Under the direction of the Associate Director for Marketing and Communications this position will be responsible for:

  • Serves as graphic artist and consultant for development and production of promotional publications and other pieces requiring graphic design expertise.  Coordinate printing and distribution process for promotional publications.  Position will work collaboratively with other department personnel to carry out the duties of a comprehensive marketing plan.

Qualifications will include:

  • Associates Degree in graphic arts, art or related design fields required. 
  • Work experience demonstrated by presentation of a professional level portfolio. 
  • Two years of experience related to graphic production.
  • Professional level skills in graphics design, layout, typesetting, integration of photos and art, and use of related equipment required. 
  • Knowledge of printing processes and production methods. 
  • Must have proven experience in Adobe environment. 
  • Prefer previous experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.    
  • Must have effective organizational, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population, staff, and external constituents.
  • Must maintain a commitment to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with other employees and vendors and possess professional integrity.
