Finance Associate

Muscatine Community College is seeking a full-time Finance Associate (Hourly pay class H2)

 

Under the direction of the Dean of Students & Director of Business Services, this position will be responsible for the efficient and effective organization and operation of the billing, collection, deposit, disbursement and record maintenance of student and other monies at MCC.  Also responsible for distribution of petty cash, periodic financial reports, and communications surrounding College income and expenditures.

Qualifications will include: 

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred.  
  • Minimally two years of progressive job related experience. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles. 
  • Must have intermediate skill set using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent attention to detail, deadlines and accuracy.
  • Must possess and exhibit the ability to ensure confidentiality.
  • Successful candidate must possess attitude, motivation, skills, and knowledge to maintain and develop effective relations with administration and instructional personnel as well as students and the general public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to meet the needs of a diverse student and community population, and workforce.
