Anticipated full time faculty openings

  • Clinton Campus – IT Programming - Minimum Qualifications:  Possess a Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction or possess a combination of education, training, and at least 6000 hours of relevant tested experience in the field of instruction in which the instructor teaches classes.  Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.  165 Day Contract

  • Clinton Campus - Psychology - Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s Degree Psychology or a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology (all types), Counseling, Behavioral Studies, Human Development, Human Services, Psychiatry, Studies in Human Behavior, and Psychology Education. Twelve hours must be in Psychology and/or Counseling. Community College teaching or training experience is preferred.  203 Day Contract

  • Scott Campus – American Sign language (ASL) - Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, or a related topic or possess a combination of education, training, and at least 6000 hours of relevant tested experience in the field of instruction in which the instructor teaches classes.  Fluency in ASL required.  A Master’s degree in ASL or Deaf Studies preferred.  American Sign Language Teacher’s Association (ASLTA) certification preferred.  Coursework must provide a foundation for teaching ASL courses.  Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.  165 Day Contract

  • Scott Campus – Art  - Minimum Qualifications:  A Master’s degree in Art or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a combination of the qualifying fields such as Art, Art History, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Graphic Arts/Design, Humanities, Illustration, and Visual Communications.  Coursework must provide a foundation for teaching courses in applied art, Art Appreciation, and Art History.  Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.  165 Day Contract

  • Scott Campus – Criminal Justice Faculty/Program Coordinator - Minimum Qualifications:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Criminal Justice field or a combination of education, training and at least 6,000 hours of relevant tested experience in the field of instruction. Master’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred.  5 years of relevant field experience in Criminal Justice is preferred.  Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.  203 Day Contract

  • Scott Campus (West Davenport Center) – English Language Acquisition Faculty Coordinator – Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Education, or other related field with a minimum of 18 graduate study hours in English Language Acquisition required.  Minimum of two years teaching experience in English Language Acquisition at the college level desired. A demonstrated familiarity with developing ELA curriculum and instructional strategies for adults is required.  Ability to manage data as a means of documenting student participation and progress as outlined by funding source requirements.  Must be able to relate well to the community college environment and to international, immigrant, and refugee students.  Must possess knowledge of computers and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in online instruction preferred. Foreign language proficiency preferred.  203 Day Contract
