Employee Benefits Specialist

EICC – District Office is seeking an full-time Employee Benefits Specialist.  


Under the direction of the Chief HR Officer, this position will be responsible for:

  • Administration all EICC employee benefit programs.
  • Manage the implementation of new plans and changes to include preparing documentation, ensuring the technical resources are aligned with plan specifics, and communication to workforce.
  • Assures compliance with all regulatory compliance with regard to employee benefit plans.
  • Provides the technical support, test system functionality and work with HR Coordinator to utilize the HRIS for business process efficiency improvement.
  • Handle benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution for all EICC employees.
  • Serve as back-up EEO/Title IX Investigator.
  • Prepare regulatory compliance reports.
  • Analyze the current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs.

Qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, business administration or human resources required.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of employee benefits management experience required.
  • Project and team leadership skills and experience. 
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.  
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills to include HRIS/Payroll/Microsoft Office Suite/
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
