
Criminal Justice Instructor and Program Coordinator
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking a full-time Criminal Justice Instructor and Program Coordinator.
165 Day Contract (August – May) – Teaching classes on campus- Position will include
fulltime benefit package.
EICC is seeking a Criminal Justice Faculty/Program Coordinator who is committed to diversity, inclusion, and innovation. We are in search of a candidate who are passionate about helping students to achieve educational, professional, and personal goals through basic skills education, workforce development and training, and transfer-level education.
Under the direction of the Dean of Operations & Applied Programs, this position will be responsible for:
- Development and coordination of applied Criminal Justice curriculum and course offerings. Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in the Criminal Justice A.A.S program. Assignments will include multiple sites, which include various campuses within the EICC District. Assignments may include alternate delivery systems and evening courses. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Qualifications will include:
- Minimum of combination of education, training and at least 6,000 hours of relevant tested experience in the field of instruction or Bachelor’s degree in a Criminal Justice field.
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
- 5 years of relevant field, experience in Criminal Justice is preferred.
- Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Teaches courses in accordance with outcomes identified in the established course development model. Uses effective and appropriate instructional delivery systems.
- Demonstrates rapport with students.
- Assists college in the recruitment and retention of students
