Computer Technology Support Specialist

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking full-time Computer Technology Support Specialist.

Under the direction of the Lead Computer Technology Support Specialist this position will be responsible for: Responsible for managing computer labs, administrative computer support and computer-related user-support activities. Assists students, faculty, and staff in utilizing the district's technology resources.  Positions will be primarily based at the SCC - Belmont campus but will travel to all other EICC campus locations as necessary.

Qualifications will include:

  • Associate Degree with major in computer science or management information systems; or equivalent work experience with knowledge of computer applications, operating systems and hardware.
  • 2-years required experience with maintenance and repair of computers and peripherals; installation and configuration of computer/network equipment and applications; knowledge of hardware and software standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 25lbs and perform other duties related to installation and support of hardware, to include, but not limited to climbing ladders and traversing stairs.
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Must have effective organizational, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population, staff, and external constituents.
  • Must maintain a commitment to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with other employees and vendors and possess professional integrity.
