Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking an Associate Director of Concurrent Enrollment

Starting Salary:
$70,000 – $78,000 annually
Position Summary:
Associate Director of Concurrent Enrollment Faculty provides district-wide leadership and support to all full-time department coordinators, faculty liaisons, and Concurrent Enrollment Instructors. The Associate Director of Concurrent Enrollment Faculty will work closely with the Dean and EICC’s K12 partners in planning, implementing, and assessing classroom observations, professional development, and other aspects of concurrent enrollment. Additionally, this position requires a high level of data collection and reporting on practices and compliance for accreditation. The Associate Director will engage with educational leadership across the district to develop, support, and maintain opportunities for faculty.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: - Master’s degree
- K12 and/or community college teaching experience
- Experience with program management, budget oversight, and staff coordination
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with accreditation
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Experience with NACEP accreditation
- Experience with continuous quality program improvement
- Supervisory experience
- K12 and/or community college partnership collaboration
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide district-wide leadership of Concurrent Enrollment:
- Works collaboratively with the Dean and the Associate Director of Concurrent Enrollment Students to ensure NACEP accreditation measures are being satisfied, recorded, and reported accurately (i.e. Discipline-Specific Professional Development (DSPD), faculty liaison training, and classroom observations).
- Ensure district-wide oversight of all Concurrent Enrollment Instructors (CCI), including hiring, onboarding, training, etc.
- Provides guidance to Divisional Deans regarding compliance/non-compliance procedures for all CCI.
- Present updates at DC meetings and provide training for all faculty liaisons.
- Regularly travel to area high schools to support and manage administrative functions.
- Provide yearly College Connections Instructors (CCI) with an orientation prior to the start of the school year. Share updates for requirements and information provided by the Curriculum and Concurrent Enrollment Department.
- Plan the New CCI Orientation and collaborate with DCs and faculty liaisons. Record and report attendance at all orientation events to the Associate Dean of Concurrent Enrollment.
- Supervise staff in the areas of responsibility and ensure their effectiveness.
- Provide an annual report regarding the CCI model that assesses strengths and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the lead for high-quality teaching and learning in all concurrent courses and career academies.
- Provide a monthly newsletter to distribute to all CCI with approval from the Dean.
- Conduct a monthly audit based on CCI observations and DSPD. Provide information to the Dean of Curriculum & Concurrent Enrollment, the Associate Dean of Concurrent Enrollment, and all Divisional Deans.
- Generate a completed Simple Syllabus report through Canvas at the end of the first week of each term and report its findings to the Associate Dean of Concurrent Enrollment. Additionally, work with Canvas Help to collect information on Published Concurrent Courses.
- Coordinate discipline-specific professional development opportunities.
- Serve as a communication liaison between faculty and administration on processes.
- Attend the yearly NACEP conference and serve as a NACEP peer reviewer.
- Stay current on all state and national policies regarding concurrent enrollment programming and trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
