Administrative Assistant – Curriculum Department

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges' District Office is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Curriculum Department.

Under the direction of the Interim Dean of Curriculum & Accreditation, this position will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Curriculum department.  This position will perform a wide variety of duties relating to preparation of databases, reports, spreadsheets, and budgets, and other matter relating to course offerings, personnel, professional development, orientation, training manuals, curriculum materials, and marketing materials.

Qualifications will include:

  • Associate degree required.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in an educational institution preferred.
  • Must possess attention to detail, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have exceptional computer and technology skills.
  • Must possess advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis in creating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, budget experience, and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven experience working on multiple projects, tracking and prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
