The 2014 Outstanding Awards are awarded to:

A retired educator and state legislator, Art Ollie has served as President of the Paul B. Sharar Foundation for one year. During his tenure, Art has attended dinners representing the Sharar Foundation, has been part of the Accreditation process, and has written article in support of CCC for Community College Month. Art is a model leader. We are proud to have him represent the CCC Paul B. Sharar Foundation!
Outstanding College Volunteers - CCC Fine Arts Committee
College events do not take place without the involvement of committed students, staff and faculty. There are many who readily lend a hand which is extremely valuable and deeply appreciated, and those with true commitment who take a personal responsibility for the success of a college event are to be treasured. Dee, Katie, Sally and Beth rarely miss a Fine Arts Committee meeting or participation in an event. They have volunteered with set up for CCC student Art Exhibit, with High School Fine Arts Day, with sales of student postcards, and with the origination, leadership and support of Writer’s Jam. CCC is fortunate to have all of them as volunteers.
Outstanding Alumnus - James Law
As a 1989 CCC graduate, James Law is proud of his foundation here at Clinton Community College! He is building his business – SOL-R-WIND - of renewable energy in our community, and wants to hire CCC graduates into his workforce.
James spoke to the CCC Student Leaders in 2013, sharing his thoughts on leadership and encouraging students to dream big and to follow their dreams. He has been a great role model in his own business. James has great enthusiasm about business, renewable energy and about Clinton Community College.
Outstanding Faculty/Staff Member - Glenn Williams
Throughout his time at CCC, Glenn has always found ways to be involved beyond the classroom. He has always been quick to offer assistance to fellow staff and faculty in training on the classroom technology, and demonstrates the smartboards or offers tours of the IT lab for perspective students. Glenn is committed to a variety of community organizations including Toys for Tots, VFW, Honor Flights, and the Izaak Walton League.
Glenn is an excellent student advocate. He is a hands-on instructor who takes the additional time to work with students. He facilitates the SNAP (Student Networking & Programming) Club, which is very active in events such as the Cruising With the Cougars Car Show and the Texas Hold’em Tournament. He organizes the International Food Fair, and provides wonderful Korean delicacies. And Glenn is very active in supporting student veterans at the college.
Outstanding Graduate - Misty Stillings
Misty Stillings has been an outstanding student while at Clinton Community College. She has been a leader in the classroom, and has taken her knowledge a step further to become a great peer tutor who is sought after for her knowledge, patience and kindness. She has been active in Phi Theta Kappa as a member and co-president. She organized and participated in many events, but her most notable achievement was her work on the PTK Honors in Action project. She completed the research compiled by the PTK team, and organized and entered on the web site.
